Earn Up To 30% Staking Your Near Coins | My 2 Strategies

After the Celsius and Voyager fiasco, most people are moving their funds into cold storage, and I think that’s the way to go. But I still choose to stake around 30–40% of my holdings. Why? I just love risky plays haha.

Being a degen is all about looking for the next opportunity, and I just love that. So right now I am using two strategies that I think are kinda safe, but don’t take my word for it, I am just a guy sharing his opinions. I use to think Luna was safe. 🤡

Two strategies I am utilizing to grow my bags:

1- Binance

This is my go-to exchange. I have used Kucoin, FTX, and others but I always come back to it. I think they are pretty solid and should be here over the long run, but that doesn’t mean I will be leaving all my bags there.

So here’s how I do it.

Binance offers APR % by tiers and each tier has a cap. For example, 29% APR and you can only stake 5 Near coins. Then it drops to 24% APR and the cap is now 10 Near tokens.

Go to your Binance app, and look for savings or locked staking. Locked staking offers way more APY and even if the name says locked you can unstake it the same day lol.

Here are some of the APRs available. Even though it looks crazy, it is not. Because the 29.99% on AVAX is only available for up to 3 coins. Then you have to move down to 20% which also has a cap of 10 coins.

So right now I am taking advantage of the high APR but remember that these are offers and they will come and go.

2- Near Validators

I think after having your coins on a ledger, the second best option might be a validator.

A validator doesn’t go bankrupt (I hope), and APR is usually lower so it makes it a little bit safer. Right now Near is paying around 12%/year.

Steps:

Go to near.org and look for “wallet”

Create a wallet if you don’t already have one.

After that, you will be redirected to your wallet.

Move some funds into it using your normal exchange.

Click on staking, choose a validator that has a fee between 1%-3%

Done, you are set up.

Here are some pictures to help out;

Few tips:

  • Choose a low-fee validator
  • Don’t stake all your coins, you will need some for transaction fees. 0.5 Near is more than enough.
  • There is a waiting period of 65 hours to unstake, have that in mind.
