I Invested $10 Every Day into Crypto For 90 Days | Results
We have all heard that DCA (Dollar Cost Averaging) is the best strategy out there. It might be, but to know it is I have been battle-testing it. But first I made some twitching in the strategy so it can fit my personality better.
DCA = Invest the same amount in money no matter if the price is up or down. Usually 2 a month (Every 2 weeks).
My way; Instead of investing every 2 weeks I do it every day. With $10 each day, I buy some crypto. No matter what. Let’s take a look at the results;
On the right-top corner, you can see that I have invested $901. So that’s $10/day on average.
Performance is at -16%. I’ve had some days where it is up +35%, and others -10%. This is the first time I am hitting a -16%, pretty sure it is because of the rate hike that happened early today.
My total “loss” is $146. But it unrealized, I haven’t sold any of my holdings.
The total value of the portfolio is $754.
Now let's take a look at my holdings.
My biggest holding is ETH at 0.20, followed by BTC at 0.010. I am also holding some AVAX, MATIC, NEAR, SOL, and GMX.
The goal is to continue until the next bull run is here. I am expecting that to be around late 2024 or 2025. This gives me plenty of days to keep DCAing that $10.
The end goal is to have $10,000 invested just on that portfolio, but including other coins, of course.
1000% Gain from that portfolio
Yes, you read that right. That’s the percentage gain I am expecting from this. If everything goes well and we do have a bull run and these coins survive, the normal thing would be to at least reach an all-time high again.
If AVAX goes to an all-time high again ($150) that’s an 800% gain, for Solana it is 700%, for Near it is over 600%.
Not only that but even safer projects like ETH and BTC are also providing a nice 3–4x if we get back to all-time highs.
Hoping for a 10x in crypto is not crazy at all if you accumulate during a bear market. And that is not even including if I start to invest in smaller projects with market caps, like Optimism which has only a 198M market cap.
