It takes time to unfuck yourself.

“A hard pill to swallow”.

Every year I go into a deep reflection which always ends in a deep depression. Looking back on how much time I got before the year ends, looking at all the goals I haven’t achieve, most importantly all the things I didn’t change.

This is an open letter to myself. It takes time, more than what you think. A secret between you and I:

Those 30 pounds you gain over the last 24 months, you are not going to lose it in 5 months.

Those 24 books you said you were going to read, you are not going to read them in 5 months.

That Emergency fund you didn’t build in 5 years, you are definitely not going to build it in 5 months.

You know that the key is ‘’consistency’’. Going 0 to 100 will not fix things just because your deadline is getting closer. You were probably wrong when you assume you were going to read 24 books in 12 months, imagine now, trying to do that in 5 months. It’s possible, but it makes no sense. Instead of that, I challenge you to lose 1 pound, read 1 book, save 1$, one day at a time. Fuel yourself with small wins, rack it up to the big goals.

Life happens, shit happens. Sometimes we have to man/woman up and keep moving regardless if we are motivated or not. Motivation is shit, what you need is self-love. Do it for the one in the mirror.

“Anything that can go wrong will go wrong”.

Ask yourself;

• If you do not achieve your goals how will you end up?

My message to you is this;

It takes time to unfuck yourself. Yes, that’s a hard pill to swallow.

Don’t take for granted that we only live once. Take that opportunity like that’s the only one you got, cuz it is.

Accept where you are, understand that where you are is your fault. After that, forgive yourself, do what you say you are to do and focus on improving 1% at a time. We still have 176% days left, even if you miss that 1 % improvement you will still improve 100%, that’s a new you.

Consistency is king. Be steady, build daily.
